1. Who these terms are between
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of corepattern.bastiangugger.com (the "Core Pattern" quiz, the surrounding pages, and the email program) operated by Bastian Gugger, Switzerland ("we", "us"). By taking the quiz, opting into emails, or applying, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. Questions: bastian.gugger@bluewin.ch.
2. This is education and self-reflection, not therapy
The quiz, your result, the emails, and any call are tools for self-reflection, education, and coaching. They are not therapy, counselling, psychotherapy, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and they are not a substitute for care from a licensed mental-health or medical professional. The profile the quiz generates is a self-reflection aid based on your own answers, not a clinical assessment. If you are in distress or crisis, or you think you may need professional help, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
3. You must be 18 or older
This site and offer are for adults only. By using it you confirm you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these terms.
4. Email consent
If you opt in, you agree to receive our automated email program (14 emails over roughly 23 days) and related messages through Kit. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us, and we'll stop. Your consent to these emails is separate from any other consent (for example, advertising cookies), and you can withdraw it without affecting the rest of the service.
5. Applications and the offer
After the quiz you may apply for a paid coaching engagement. Applying does not create a contract and does not guarantee acceptance: we review applications and may decline or not respond, at our discretion, for any reason. If we move forward, the coaching engagement is priced at USD 3,000. Payment plans may be available and, where offered, are agreed in writing before you start. No payment is taken through this website or the quiz funnel; any payment arrangement is handled separately and confirmed directly with you. Specific deliverables, schedule, and terms of the engagement are set out when you enrol and take precedence over these general terms for that engagement.
6. Booking a call
If your application proceeds, you can book a discovery call through Calendly. Please show up or reschedule with reasonable notice. Booking a call does not guarantee you will be offered or accepted into the paid engagement.
7. No guaranteed outcomes
Relationship and personal growth depend on many things, most of all on you. We share tools, frameworks, and guidance in good faith, but we do not and cannot guarantee any particular result, outcome, or timeline. Any examples or stories are illustrative, not promises. You are responsible for the decisions you make and the actions you take based on the content.
8. Intellectual property
The quiz, the scoring framework, the archetype and pattern model, the emails, the page copy, and all other materials on this site are owned by Bastian Gugger and are protected by intellectual-property law. They are for your personal use. You may not copy, resell, republish, distribute, or create derivative works from them without our written permission. Your own quiz answers and the personal data you provide remain yours; how we handle them is described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Acceptable use
Please use the site honestly and lawfully. Don't submit false information, don't try to break, overload, scrape, or interfere with the site, and don't use it in any way that infringes someone else's rights or breaks the law. We may restrict or remove access if these terms are misused.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or the content, and our total liability for any direct loss is limited to the amount you actually paid us, if any. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Swiss law (such as for intent or gross negligence, or for personal injury where the law does not allow exclusion). The site and content are provided on an "as is" basis.
11. Privacy
Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, why, who we share it with, international transfers, and your rights. Please read it alongside these terms.
12. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version always lives at this URL, with the "last updated" date below. These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Swiss courts, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence says otherwise.
